Long-lasting protection
Ceramic coatings are built to outlast conventional waxes and polymer sealants, so you're not re-waxing every few weeks of the season.
Proper prep, careful gel coat correction, then a professionally applied ceramic coating to help protect your boat's finish and keep that deep, glossy shine.
Ceramic coating is what Boatworks is known for. A ceramic coating bonds to your boat's gel coat and forms a hard, slick protective layer. Compared to a traditional wax, it's designed to last much longer and to make the finish easier to keep clean, so water, grime and scum have a harder time sticking.
The coating is only as good as the surface under it. That's why every ceramic job starts with a thorough wash and decontamination, and gel coat correction (buffing and polishing) where it's needed. The result is a clear, glossy finish that the coating locks in.

Why it matters
Ceramic coatings are built to outlast conventional waxes and polymer sealants, so you're not re-waxing every few weeks of the season.
The slick, hydrophobic surface helps water bead and run off, and makes it easier to wash off the dirt, scum and waterline staining that builds up on the water.
Paired with proper gel coat correction, a coating brings out and holds a rich, reflective shine.
A coated finish is better able to stand up to sun, water and everyday grime than bare or waxed gel coat.
How it works
We look at your boat's size and the current condition of the gel coat and talk through what it needs.
A thorough clean removes dirt, scum, waterline staining and residue so nothing is trapped under the coating.
Where needed, we buff and polish the gel coat to remove oxidation and dullness and restore clarity.
The surface is prepped so the coating can bond properly.
The coating is applied carefully, panel by panel, and given time to cure.
We check the finish and share tips on washing and caring for a coated boat.
Exact scope depends on your boat and is confirmed with your quote.

Wax sits on top of the gel coat and wears off fairly quickly. A ceramic coating bonds with the surface to form a harder, longer-lasting protective layer that also makes the boat easier to clean.
Usually some correction is needed. A coating locks in whatever is underneath it, so oxidation or dullness should be buffed and polished out first. We'll assess your boat and recommend what it needs.
